Warm Weather Tips

1). Be sure to have a full bowl of cold water available at all times for your pets during the warm weather.

2). Most people think a dog or cat is cooler shaved down in the summer. In reality the coat acts as an insulator against the heat. If you do choose to clip your pets short during the summer, remember to watch for signs of sunburn and over-heating!

3). Always take a breather and a fresh water break when exercising your pets in the heat. Do not over work them!

4). Some dogs love to swim! Remember, undertows and strong currents can sweep them out or under too. Also remember to rinse off salt water after swimming, to keep dogs skin clean and itch free. Be careful when boating with your pets, if you are unsure of their safety, you can always put them in a pet life preserver!
